so, um, I have this idea... though I'm not sure how to put it so just bear with me for a moment, okay?
See, in the Elder Scrolls games there is this faction - a group of assassins - called the Dark Brotherhood. They're really amazing, not because they romanticize killing people (they really don't; it can be gory as all hell with those people) but because their questline is usually really intricate and lots of fun to play through (except for where it breaks your heart and crushes your soul) and has, in Oblivion at any rate, the most interesting and well-developed characters (who are the reasons for broken hearts and crushed souls) in the game world.
The Dark Brotherhood is super secretive, too, and have avoided detection for a long long time, but the thing is that something happens in the two hundred years between Oblivion and Skyrim. In Oblivion, the organisation is prosperous and spread across the entire continent of Tamriel (the known world) whilst in Skyrim, only one of the hidden lairs remains. I've gotten... kind of obsessed with the thought of writing a piece, probably multi-chaptered, where I put our OCs in one of these Sanctuaries (which are all kept separate from each other) at some point between games.
Would you be into reading that? I will obviously provide basic info about the world when it's needed, but I don't think we'll need much since a lot will happen within the walls of the Sanctuary itself and lol who cares about politics when you have people to kill. I'd need some things from you though! Like:
- primary and secondary weapons (dagger, sword, bow and arrows, mace, warhammer, axe, magic - also dual wield, one-handed or two-handed)
- preferred fighting styles (poison the target, bash their heads in, use spells, shoot them...)
- would your character prefer not to be known to anyone, just to the target, or proudly let people know that the Brotherhood has ~taken care of business~ in some fashion?
- if your character's into using magic, would they promarily be destructive with fire and ice and stuff or would they conjure up creatures to do their bidding?
- also can I make your character a non-human? I mean, there are four human races who are pretty similar so the majority of people would probably be that, but we also have three awesome elven races - altmer/high elves, who are tall and golden-skinned and proud and super skilled at magic, dunmer/dark elves who have ashen skin and red eyes and are strong and intelligent, bosmer/wood elves who are really into nature and great at archery - and the khajiit who look like this:

__
her name is also my current tumblr url aw yiss) and they're immune to poison and can breathe underwater.
obviously you don't have to give me all these details if you trust me enough with your darlings to pick something. I mean, if you'd like them to be human I'll probably do that anyway because that is super easy for most of them : 3
uh
I hope that wasn't too much stuff at once .___. I just got really excited for this and I already know how to write it if I get to play with these boys and girls, eheh.
